High Fused Alumina
High fused alumina, also known as sub-white corundum, is a type of corundum refractory material smelted at high temperature in an electric arc furnace with bauxite as raw material. Its alumina (Al₂O₃) content is over 97%, higher than 95% of brown fused alumina, while its color is similar to brown fused alumina. Its bulk density (specific gravity) is higher than white fused alumina and slightly lower than brown fused alumina. Its refractoriness is lower than white fused alumina but higher than brown fused alumina.
